It’s been a pretty busy week and I’m still recovering from being sick.
But if you’re building the foundation of a future empire, you have to keep going despite all the challenges you’re facing.
And there are a lot of challenges starting from lack of sleep which I suspect is the main reason why I keep getting sick to maintaining a house (seriously failing big time at keeping it clean) and holding a regular 9-hour job plus 1 to 2 hours overtime for personal productivity reasons (these blogs I maintain).
How much sleep do I get?
Let’s see… I take a 45-minute nap during my lunch break, sleep after I’ve cooked breakfast and washed last night’s dishes in the sink for at least 2 hours, sleep for an hour while Lyle is at school, and sleep an hour before work. So, that’s about 5 hours. Not bad, I guess.
There are so many things to do that sleep seems like such a waste of time. I know, I know, I shouldn’t think like that but I can’t help myself.
So let’s see, what have I done over the week?
Starting My Pretty Busy Week with Canomed Corporation
Monday – I posted about dental health on Canomed Corporation’s official website about dental health. Something I’m really starting to appreciate these days after losing a few teeth over the years. They say you shouldn’t regret anything you’ve done in the past but I do.
I regret smoking and a lot of bad decisions that have contributed to my poor oral health.
So, what can I do about it? I guess I’ll just have to pass on what I know and also take preventive measures to slow down further dental issues.
Filipino Writers
Tuesday – writing has always been a good profession for me. It has served me well since high school when I’d get paid to do other people’s assignments to the time I finally made it my profession as a copywriter.
These days, I work as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist which is a natural progression for me as a writer as I want to be able to make sure that the content I provide reaches as many people as possible.
So, one thing I’ve noticed about the group Domz and I made on Facebook was that a lot of people want to write as a profession. The only problem is that English, being our second language is something we really have to make an effort in learning.
And sometimes, we forget the basics. So, I took it upon myself to release a few articles covering the basics to help those who want to write.
Because you always go back to the basics despite your English Mastery level.
Next week, I’ll be writing something even more basic thanks to my most recent purchase of Basic English Grammar for Dummies by Geraldine Woods
Musika Wabad
Wednesday – I finally got around to releasing the article I made for Quora. Quora is a local Davao band who managed to get into the Muziklaban semifinals.
This is a very proactive band whose members have reached out to me before to help out in marketing their events. If they manage to land the much-coveted grand prize, they’ll no longer need to do the reaching out and will most probably be the ones trying to fend off interviewers, bloggers, and others who’ll want to know more about their story.
From the looks of it, this band has a great potential to win because they have a solid live performance, have the looks, have good songwriting abilities and have that can-do, go-get-it attitude that is quite lacking in a lot of youth today.
If they work hard enough, they’ll be a band that future generations will look up to and say “Hey, I wanna be like them!”
Hayop Etc
Thursday – After writing about Quora, I immediately started writing about the three new king cobras because it is a topic that really shook the herping world. But what’s more exciting is that we have our very own endemic king cobra, the Ophiophagus salvatana or the Luzon King cobra.
Isn’t that cool?
It’s been almost 200 years after the initial classification of the king cobra and the first real news about it involves the Philippines. That’s so cool.
Pretty Busy Week but Not for Biyernes.Com
Friday – this is one of my newest blogs and I haven’t really done anything to it aside from posting a few articles related to Power Gates Davao and some appliances.
So yesterday, Saturday, after picking up some medicines at the airport cargo and receiving an LBC package from a former seminarian that contained a cool shirt and a USB containing our yearbook, I went out to organize a team that will finally comprise the basic nucleus of the Biyernes team.
Yes, aside from my work online, I also do offline duties for Canomed Corp and myself as an independent medical distributor and hopefully someone who can provide contractor duties in the near future (2025 – 2026).
After a very exhausting morning, I took a much needed long rest and woke up at 10PM. Fed Lyle and gave him a bath because he was still up so late at night. After his bath, we went to the couch and slept.
It’s been a pretty busy week.
See you next week folks! I hope it’ll be another pretty busy week for productivity’s sake.
